In Case You’d Forgotten My Handwriting

An archive of silence
Female ex -combatants in Colombia

                                       Who Am I?

I am a freelance documentalist, a graduate from the Pontificia Bolivariana University (UPB) in Social Communication and a postgraduate in Film Editing from Cinematografics de Catalunya College (CECC) in 2003. I also studied colorimetry, stop motion and filming in the Sindicato de Cinematografía Argentina en Buenos Aires (SICA) 2011.

For the last 14 years I have been telling stories from Colombia with preponderance on documentary. My themes are personal and social, always giving prominence to the voice of the protagonists making me their witness. My objective in my films is to depict, visualize and create awareness.

Through my production company ENTRETEJERSE T.V, I am currently in the pre-production stage of my first feature film documentary Who am I? (¿Quien Soy?), winner of the project writing category for the Colombian Ministry of Culture. I also currently have in production the feature film documentary The sound of your eyes… , of which filming begins in June 2014.

My stories are very intimate, aided by the camera; for this reason my focus is always on the foreground and close-ups. In my documentaries I go in search of colour as a personal code, I respect, explore and delve into my country and it is for her that I tell these stories.

Amongst most of my recognized work, both nationally and internationally, are the documentaries: An archive of silence Female ex -combatants in Colombia (2005), This town needs a death (2007), From far away shores (2010), In Case You’d Forgotten My Handwriting (2009) - A single swallow does not make a summer (2013)
